This is a nice little shop tucked away in a not-so-busy neighbourhood. We were in the area because of airbnb, or else we would never find this place. It is as humble as it is delicious, and the ramen seems to be made in-house. Through the glass you can see them boiling and making the bone soup, so that is always a good sight to see.
What a hidden gem! The food and service far exceeded expectations! Will definitely make this a regular spot for lunch! Parking can be a bit sporty in back, however. But that is not uncommon for the area. Highly recommend!
I recently dined with Boru Ramen for the first time and it did not disappoint. I made a takeout order and the staff was wonderfully thorough and cautious with the strange circumstances we are in. Food was absolutely delicious, and I am already looking forward to trying many more menu items! Thank you, Boru staff!
Absolutely delicious bowl of Tonkotsu ramen! Creamy, rich, sweet and filling! Highly recommend the gyoza, fantastic crisp and filling!
Great customer service. I had seaweed salad and shoyu ramen (the broth is amazing!!!) with the hibiscus champagne cocktail. It was yummy 💫
I've never really been a ramen person, but my roommate was telling me how good this place was so we went for his birthday. The venue itself is nice and cozy and inviting, and the servers were on us right from the beginning. They have a wide variety of ramen, and you have to get the Boru Balls appetizer... Seriously. One of the best meatballs I've ever had.For the ramen, I got the standard house misu and added some spicy TanTan pork. The ramen broth was heavenly, was a nicely even heat that didn't over power the depth of flavor. The portion was plentiful and every bite was amazing.I will definitely be back again.
Great ramen! Great delivery! It’s in the neighborhood which is also great. TanTan-Men
Boru Ramen NEVER disappoints!! Had the Shio ramen and it was delicious. This is a must try if your looking for Ramen
This place has awesome curry over rice bowl.
Ramen noodle spot with a great variety of broth options.
Great service and delicious variety across their menu!
I'a huge ramen fan. I've gone to most of the ramen places in the northern va area and Boru has been my favorite specifically for their ramen. Sometimes I order their rice dishes too which are tasty as well, but I highly recommend getting any of their ramen. The interior of the restaurant is nice and clean and I'm personally a huge fan of the music they play. Its unique, it's often covers of songs but more relaxed or "chill" remixes. Very nice.
This place constantly delivers. They have fresh dishes for fair pricing, there no long wait even when the spot is full.
I LOVE BORU RAMEN!!!! It's quiet and the staff is always friendly and super attentive!! The food quality is AMAZING & tastes AWESOME!!!!! The appetizers and the different types of wine are great as well! It's a bit more expensive than other places I've visited but I know that the quality ingredients is what drives the price up. Overall, I LOVE the ramen here and plan on coming back to try a new bowl soon!!
Best bowl of shio I've ever had. Easily the best ramen shop in Arlington. These flavors are as authentic as you can get in VA.
Great, tasty, affordable ramen.
Super quick service, very polite and friendly staff. Love coming here for either lunch or dinner.
Excellent selection of ramen. The broth is quite lovely. The bamboo is where it is at ... Flavorful and interesting addition and accent to any ramen.
This place is incredible. It deserves five stars for ramen in America and the East Coast. Truly rich and deep broth. Great pork. Solid mushrooms and a well prepared egg. Great service. Wasn’t too busy on a Saturday afternoon. Don’t waste time waiting for a spot in DC - come out to this gem.
Nice place and good food
Delicious. You can get it as spicy as you want.. or not
First time trying Boru Ramen and must say I was disappointed first of all if you see me walking in with two toddlers expect for the kids to make noise or else put a sign saying no kids allowed period. Waiter was rude and told me that my kid was making to much noise when there was literally only my table and another table of two being served. The food was okay honestly I expected better due to the fact that it’s a highly recommended place. Will definitely not be stop by again. The staff made me feel unwelcome!
My favorite ramen joint in DMV area. The spicy miso is delicious, I substitute the pork with chicken, and it's perfect. Highly highly recommend the pork balls.... They're unreal.
Great tasting ramen. Hakata Tonkotsu is my favorite, with a side of Gyoza and Strawberry Mochi Ice Cream to finish it off!
Would absolutely recommend trying this place. Excellent character, delicious food, fantastic customer service. I recommend this place.
Best Ramen I've had in the US. Sophisticated decor. Friendly staff. Great selection. Quick service. Have repeated already and will be back.
It's a quiet place and the ramen is great! One of our favorite spots in the area.
Good service less than decent meal.
Nice place. The staffs are friendly here and the ramen is really good. However, I don't recommend the Tantan Men one as it is with too many flavors and ruin the balance.
Really great spicy miso! Broth was so rich and creamy and actually spicy :) I like how much chasui pork you get as well. 10/10 would come again
Delicious ramen and generous portions!
Really good ramen. rich smooth full bodied broth.
Fantastic ramen. A really good joint. Worth the money and great service.
Ver y high quality product, nice and neat the ramen I had was awesome.
This place is so good. If you're a vegetarian, the soy broth in there veggie ramen will warm your heart. It's incredible and has all the depth of flavor. So much that my boyfriend who eats traditional ramen (the pork is his favorite) ends up stealing some of mine.
I love this restaurant! They give great food, they have a rich menu, The cook in that spot is an expert, I enjoy very much tasting all their dishes. The food is consistently fresh, the service towards the guests is helpful. I go often to this place and I was never unhappy. I recommend it to all.
Soup was good at a 4* but service when we arrived was a little rushed and we were seated at an area near the busy hall/walkway without being able to change the place where we wanted to sit. My father at 79 has trouble with knees after replacement surgery so that was not an ideal area for him. We would have left and rated it a "0", if we weren't so hungry from being out all day earlier. The good soup (Shoyu Ramen & Buta Kakuni) and the attending service later with the water refills w/o asking helped change our attitude by end of meal.
Just moved to the area and I'm so glad my new favorite ramen spot is so close by. It's very clean and not very crowded, the staff are welcoming and quick. I highly recommend this place for newbies and ramen experts.
Love the food and the Nigori sake. Also the atmosphere is very nice. Not too dark and not too light.
Boru is the perfect destination of a walk in the rain. The place had a very nice, yet comfortable, atmosphere. The bar was a good perch for souping, which I enjoyed immensely, joking with the waiter about needing a straw to finish. Thank you! I will return.
Best ramen place in Arlington. Ramen bowls are $12 each which is cheaper than almost all others ramen places in the area. Spicy miso is the best.
This place was fantastic, and the portions were generous. It was just what I needed after a long flight.
I love this place. This ramen is off the chain
Excellent foodLimited Parking on rear
If you're in Arlington, Boru Ramen is an experience you should be having regularly. The flavors of their broth and the ratio of noodles with protein you get is a lot more at Boru than most places I have been. One of my go-to choices is the Hakata Tonkotsu, as that broth is so rich and flavorful as the pork chashu melts away for even more of your tastebud's pleasure. Oh, and the sake choices are dope too. One more thing: THE BORU BALLS ARE LIT 🔥🔥. Not sure what's in them, but they're amazing and pair well with a chilled sake. For more, see @stoopkidseat on Instagram
The food was bland and lacking flavor. The noodles were clumped into one solid piece. As of 15 Jun 20, dine in is open Fast service Friendly staff The broth was tepid Parking is limited and will leave you trapped if you don't strategically park.
This was my first time in any noodle shop. Found out I'm not a ramen person. However, the flavors were good, and the rest of my large party loved everything.
Yummmm! One of the best ramen joints in town. I like the fact that they separate the shrimp tempura but I wish they did that with the flakes that were put in as they were so soggy. The broth is amazing as always! Customer service is nice. We epecially enjoy it here!
If you aren’t getting ramen from here you’re just wrong. So wrong. The spicy miso ramen is to die for and I stuffed myself eating their food.
